The 5th EUROPLAN National Conference – the 3rd with EURORDIS – took place on 16-17 November 2017 in Zalau, Romania. ANB Rare Romania – Rare Diseases Romania, was the organiser.
The conference provided an overview of the current situation of rare diseases in Romania and placed an emphasis on the three following themes, assessing progresses made as well as providing recommendations to continue fostering joint efforts in improving diagnosis and care:
- Centres of Expertise Accreditation
- Participation of Centres of Expertise in European Reference Networks
- Specialised Social Services and Rare Disabilities
